Wordless storytelling

Normally a screenplay translates to about a minute of film per page of text. When Omid Pourhashemi, the director of the film I’ve linked to, showed me his screenplay it was only four pages of text. Omid had a problem with the script at the time, it was too wordy. He felt he could tell the story with less text still. The result is a powerful short film about an asylum seeker entering the Netherlands:
